Wanna Know Something Weird?

I hate milk.  I didn’t drink a lot as a child, and as I got older, I just had a glass here and there when I “craved” it.  Mostly after eating ice cream.  Since becoming pregnant, I’ve tried to drink more milk, eat cheese, or even take a calcium supplement.  I don’t know that I’m doing so well, though.  I hate milk so much that I HAVE to drink it on the verge of being ice cold, and if I don’t chug the glass, I likely won’t finish it all.

What prompted this?  Well, I’m in out guest room, ignoring my husband, eating a peanut butter and jam sandwich instead of a proper dinner.  I added a glass of milk to round the meal out.

All of that aside – this is the weird part: no matter how fresh the milk is (I could literally just buy the milk and open a quart 2 seconds before), I always check to see if there are chunks before daring to even sip it.

Rotted milk scares me.

    1. Oh lord, the things I need to
Do to choke down yogurt… I like the flavours of yogurt (the fruity part, anyway), but the milky thickness to it: barf.

  1. I don’t mind milk, but I don’t just drink a glass. My hubby though has a glass or two a day and especially a glass of chocolate milk before bed. So weird.

    1. So does my husband! Figures – women need the extra calcium, but men drink more of it lol

If we buy chocolate milk, the quart will not last for more than a day and a half around Cody. I do drink the chocolate milk that comes pre-made, but not often.

  2. Would you like it more if it had strawberry, caramel or chocolate syrup in it? I don’t like milk straight up, but I can do it with strawberry or chocolate syrup in it 🙂
One of the things I like to do is throw a cup of light milk in the blender with a handful of frozen berries, a banana, 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon and a dollop of honey whiz it up then slam it down 🙂 I call it a bliss bomb (though I am sure it is known by many other names lol. This way I am getting calcium, potassium, fibre, antioxidants, natural antacids, and cinnamon is great for your digestive system. Plus… yummy 🙂

    1. I only like the pre-made chocolate milk. I find syrup too sweet, and yet I need to use enough so that it’s a fairly dark brown (slightly brown tinged milk grosses me out). Not
To mention, milk itself brings up my sugar levels, so adding to it would make it even worse :-/

      Supplements it is! 😉
